About the group trip

What is included in the group trip?

The trip includes accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, all transfers within Egypt, and a carefully curated program of horse riding activities. You will be guided throughout the journey by experienced local guides, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. In addition, photos and videos are included, so you can fully relive your experience. Selected non-horseriding activities, such as a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum or diving experiences, are also part of the program, but with additional costs. 

What is not included in the group trip?

International and domestic flights are not included, nor is lunch and the visa. Any additional activities outside of the planned itinerary are also not included.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day is designed to balance adventure, relaxation, and connection. You will start your morning with breakfast together, followed by a unique activity such as horse riding or exploring one of Egypt’s iconic locations. Throughout the day, there is time to enjoy the surroundings and connect with the group. Evenings are spent together over dinner, with the option to relax or go out and experience the local atmosphere. 

How many people are in a group?

Group sizes are kept relatively small to maintain a personal and social atmosphere. On average, groups consist of around ten people. 

Are photos and videos included?

Yes, professional photos and videos are included. During the trip, we capture one of the most memorable moments of your experience.

Do I need experience to join?

The trips are open to all riding levels. However, having some basic experience is recommended, as it will allow you to feel more comfortable and fully enjoy the riding activities.

What riding levels are accepted?

All riding levels are welcome, and activities are adapted to suit the group.

Are the horses taken care of?

Horse welfare is a top priority. Horse Trips Egypt only collaborates with carefully selected stables where horses are well cared for and treated with respect. The equipment used is of good quality, ensuring both comfort and safety for horse and rider.

Safety & Guidance

Is it safe to travel to Egypt?

Yes, your safety is extremely important. All locations and activities are carefully selected to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. You will be guided at all times, so you can fully relax and enjoy your trip.

Will there be guides during the trip?

Yes, you will be accompanied throughout the entire trip by experienced guides. They are either local or have extensive experience living in Egypt, which allows them to guide you with confidence and local knowledge.

What languages do the guides speak?

The guides speak Dutch, English, and Arabic, ensuring clear communication for all participants.

What happens in case of an emergency?

The team is prepared to handle emergency situations. Guides are experienced and know how to respond quickly and appropriately to ensure your safety and wellbeing at all times.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, travel insurance is required and strongly recommended for participation in the trip.

Booking & Payments

How can I book my spot?

You can book your spot by clicking on “Book your spot.” After this, you will receive an email with all necessary information and a payment link. Once the payment is completed, your place on the trip is confirmed.

What happens after I book?

After your payment is confirmed, you will receive a detailed document with all the information you need to prepare for your trip. This will help you get ready and ensure you feel fully prepared before departure.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. To secure your spot, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

The remaining 50% must be paid at least 21 days before the start of the trip.

For bookings made within 21 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payments are made via a secure payment link, which will be provided after your booking request.

Can I cancel my booking?

The deposit is non-refundable.

If you cancel more than 30 days before the trip, the remaining balance (if paid) may be refunded.

Cancellations within 30 days of departure are non-refundable.

In exceptional circumstances, we may offer flexibility at our discretion.

Practical information

Do I need a visa for Egypt?

Yes, a visa is required. It can easily be obtained upon arrival at the airport for approximately 30 USD or EUR.

What should I pack?

As the weather in Egypt is generally warm, light clothing is recommended. For horse riding, appropriate riding pants and boots are advised. If you prefer to wear a helmet, it is recommended to bring your own, as availability of high-quality helmets on location may be limited.

Is there internet available?

Upon arrival at the airport, it is recommended to arrange mobile data. You can either purchase an eSIM in advance or buy a local SIM card at the airport to stay connected throughout your trip. There is wifi available at the hotels.

Do I need to bring cash?

It is advisable to bring some cash, although in many places you can also pay by card. ATMs are widely available throughout Egypt.

Can I join alone?

Yes, absolutely. Many travelers join solo, and the group setting makes it easy to connect and feel comfortable from the start.

Will there be free time?

Yes, the program is designed to offer a good balance between planned activities and free time. This allows you to relax, explore, or enjoy the destination at your own pace.
